Small business software stack, tool by tool
Quick answer
A small business software stack is every tool you pay for, listed by the job it does: calls, leads, estimates, invoices, books, signatures, and payments. Omni Studio replaces the jobs its AI employees do today, connects to the apps Composio supports for the rest, and helps move your records with CSV import and setup help.
We set up the workflows described here during Custom Build or Enterprise setup, using your records, tools, and approval rules. We agree on the scope with you first. Custom workflows are not included in the Pilot. Examples illustrate a possible setup, not a promise that every step is ready in a free workspace.
What a small business software stack includes
A small business software stack is every tool with its own login and its own monthly charge. A plumbing shop in Ohio might pay Housecall Pro $59 a month billed annually for jobs and invoices, Stripe 2.9% plus 30 cents on every card payment, and QuickBooks Online for the books, with a separate answering service on top.
The useful way to list a stack is by job. Calls and texts, lead follow-up, estimates, invoices, scheduling, documents and signatures, payments, books, and reports. Each job usually has one tool attached, and some tools cover two or three jobs.
Omni Studio is a workspace with seven AI employees, each with one job. AI employee Mia runs the front desk and calendar and is the only employee on your outside phone line. AI employee Hank handles operations and dispatch. AI employee Cody drafts sales follow-ups and estimates. AI employee Reggie handles marketing and growth. AI employee Nora handles billing, books, and reports. AI employee Olivia is the office manager. AI employee Sam runs compliance and checks.
We confirm the job, required features, connections, and approval rules during setup. An availability label alone does not establish that a tool can be replaced. Keep the existing tool until the agreed workflow has been checked.
Which jobs can an AI employee take over today?
The table lists common jobs, a typical tool with its published list price, and what Omni does for that job today. Prices are from each vendor's own pricing page, read on October 13, 2026. The setup scope must be confirmed for your business.
| Job | Typical tool and list price, read October 13, 2026 | What Omni does today |
|---|---|---|
| Missed-call text-back | A field service app or an answering service. Housecall Pro Basic is $59 a month billed annually. | Mia answers the outside line and texts back missed calls on your own number. Available now in home services. |
| Estimate follow-up | The same field service app, or email by hand. | Cody drafts the follow-up; you approve it before it sends. Available now in home services. |
| Invoice reminders | Field service app, QuickBooks Online, or email by hand. | Nora drafts the reminder on the schedule you set; you approve it. Available now in home services. |
| Lead board | A CRM. Follow Up Boss Grow is $69 per user a month. | Lead board with nine stages and the source on every lead. Scoped during setup in real estate. |
| Transaction files | Transaction software. SkySlope Suite starts at $340 a month. | Omni's own transaction workspace with stages, participants, tasks, and documents. Scoped during setup in real estate. |
| Card payments | Stripe, 2.9% plus 30 cents per domestic card payment. | Connects to Stripe. You keep the account and the rate. |
| Books | Check your accounting provider for current plan terms. QuickBooks Online list price not verified on October 13, 2026. | Connects to QuickBooks. Omni is not your general ledger. |
| E-signature | DocuSign Personal $11 a month with a $132 annual commitment. | We connect your DocuSign account during setup. Signing needs your own account. |
The three Available now rows are the home services jobs on the home services compare page. The real estate rows come from the real estate compare page. Each page carries the vendor read dates and the status for every row.
One rule covers all eight rows. Anything that sends, books, signs, spends, or changes a record waits for your approval. Every decision is recorded, and you choose which routine items run on their own.
Which tools does Omni connect to instead?
Five connections are labeled Available on the real estate page as of October 13, 2026: Gmail, Google Calendar, your own Twilio number, Stripe, and QuickBooks. You keep each account, and the bill for each stays with that vendor.
For a tool that is not on that list, the answer is the same on every compare page. Omni connects to the apps Composio supports, so ask us whether your tool can connect for your account before you cancel anything.
Some jobs stay with your current tool on purpose. Omni does not publish to an MLS, does not pay owners or vendors, and does not act as your general ledger. The guide to AI tools for business operations covers how to tell a connection from a replacement.
How to pick the first tool to replace
Start with the job that costs you the most owner time. The size of a tool's bill is a weaker guide. A missed call or a waiting lead can be a useful first example.

The article on business AI cost walks through the arithmetic of a stack against a managed workspace. Pricing on this site is on one page: a free workspace at $0 for 14 days, the Pilot includes AI usage; see the pricing page for its current price, Custom Build from $4,500 a month, and Enterprise by talking to a person. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.
Which workspace is yours
The site lists eleven workspaces. Confirm which jobs and connections fit your business during setup before replacing a tool.
Each workspace has its own compare page with the tools, list prices, and read dates for that trade. The compare hub links all 11 pages and the one-on-one comparisons with Follow Up Boss, BoldTrail, Lofty, SkySlope, Buildium, Jobber, Housecall Pro, and ServiceTitan.
A workspace scoped with you is set up with you one request at a time. Its compare page lists the stack and the prices, and says what the workspace covers today in general terms. New to the idea of an AI employee? Read what an AI employee is first.
